Q: What is Michals Hockey Academy?
A: Michals Hockey Academy is the parent company of the Goalie Academy of Boston, the New England Pride Girls Hockey and the Middlesex Cross Ice Hockey League (MCIHL). Michals Hockey also provides a wide range of training sessions.
Q:What services does Michals Hockey Academy provide?
A: Michals Hockey Academy provides private, semi private, small group and youth organization skills and training for both players and goalies. Lessons and Training sessions are offered on natural ice, on a synthetic ice treadmill and a synthetic ice mini-rink. Players of all ages are welcome to train with us.
Q: How do I sign up for a semi private, private or small group training program?
A: The first step in signing up for a training program is determining what skills you or your player want to work on. If you’re not sure what area(s) need the most attention and would benefit the most from more personalized training, reach out to our Head Trainer, Billy Rivellini at billy@michalshockey.com to schedule a 1-hour player evaluation. After determining what skills you need to work on, select your training package - we offer a wide variety of package types to fit every players needs. Once you have purchased your training package, please email info@michalshockey.com to schedule your lesson.
Q: What training package is right for me?
A: Every player is unique, and we understand that. As such, we work with our clients to find the best training package for you. If you are unsure which package will benefit you the most, please contact our Head Trainer, Billy Rivellini at billy@michalshockey.com.
Q: I do not see a package that fits my needs, can you help me?
A: If you don’t see a pre-set package on our registration menu, simply give us a call or email us and let us know what you’d like and we will create your own package that best suits your needs and schedule. To view our pre-set Training Packages, please click HERE.
Q: How do I schedule a training session?
A: The easiest way to schedule a lesson is by emailing info@michalshockey.com or calling 617-558-3267. Please provide us with a list of your preferred dates and times for your sessions. Upon receiving the email, we will reply with a list of options for the dates that you have requested. Please note that the list of lessons provided are on a first come, first serve basis. You MUST confirm the dates and times you want before we will place a player in the lesson.
Q: What if I need to cancel or re-schedule a session?
A: Any session cancelled with 24 hours or more notice will automatically be added back into your package and will be available for re-scheduling at your convenience. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours or less of the scheduled session will be deducted from the training package as though the session occurred. There will be no refund.
Q: What equipment do I need for my lesson?
A: All training sessions require full hockey equipment. Players will not be permitted on the real ice, synthetic ice, or the treadmill without their full gear.
Q: I sent an email, but I did not hear back, how can I schedule my lesson?
A: We apologize for any inconvenience! Due to scheduling, our trainers may be tied up with lessons. Please give us 24-hours to reply to your email. If you are in need of immediate assistance, please contact our office at 617-558-3267.
